Porcelain, Glass, and Vintage Lighting!
We began
our adventure in antiques with porcelains. Like the Victorians we
enjoyed decorating our house with fine china. Fine china and glass
are remarkable; the skills necessary to make the china or glass is
an art form in itself, and once the piece is created it must be
decorated. We collected hard paste porcelain, namely Limoges and
Nippon to start. Our love was RS Prussia, not only because of the
beauty of the painting and transfers, but the molds themselves with
flowers or other decorations blown right into the porcelain. As the
number of pieces in our collection increased we wanted to find a
means to sell some of them, this was the beginning of our shop. We
are members of the International Club of RS Prussia collectors and
have a large quantity of RS Prussia available in the shop.

I remember as a child watching a
craftsman making a hand blown piece of glass, and thinking how
talented this man was. The different types of glass available in
the market place is amazing, hand blown, pressed, molded, colored,
cut, etched, crystal, paint decorated, etc…. Our most recent
interests are in art glass; these pieces disappear from the shelves
as fast as we can find them. We have a good selection glass
including Tiffany, Orrefors, Fenton and carnival glass.
In addition to our love of porcelains
and glass, we have become very interested in antique lighting. The
shop is adorned with several Gone with the Wind lamps which are
antique oil lamps that may or may not have been converted to
electricity. They are all hand painted and beautiful. There is
also a large array of glass oil lamps available including miniature
lamps, finger lamps and bracket lamps. Included with these are
several Aladdin Lamps, and converted gas lamps. There are also
several early electric lamps including a Miller Slag Glass lamp and
lamps with fantastic reverse painted shades.
